Laura Osland is a passionate author residing in Peoria, Arizona, where she has cultivated her love for storytelling and creativity since 1994. Born and raised in Marshalltown, Iowa, Laura’s imaginative journey began during her childhood years, where she attended Anson Elementary School and continued to nurture her creativity at Marshalltown High School, graduating in 1984. With a lifelong love for reading and writing, Laura’s vivid imagination has been a driving force in her storytelling endeavors.
Laura’s love for animals shines through in her writing and her life. Alongside her husband, Joe, Laura shares her home with two small dogs named Pearl and Prudence, who bring joy and companionship to her daily life. Previously, Laura cared for two small cockatiels named Pistol and Petey, among other beloved pets. Her connection with animals inspires warmth and authenticity in her stories, creating relatable characters that children adore.
After dedicating years to raising her children—Ashley, Taylor, and Dylan—Laura has returned to her first passion: writing stories for children. With a renewed sense of creativity and a wealth of life experiences, Laura infuses her tales with heart, humor, and valuable life lessons. Through her captivating storytelling, Laura aims to spark imagination, foster empathy, and spread joy to young readers everywhere.
